As I start to wrap up Chapter 1 I’m reflecting on everything surrounding this comic. First off I’m still overwhelmed with all the people from all over the world who are checking this comic out on a regular basis. Most of you are anonymous comic fans who’ve found this little story somehow, and I ‘m really glad so many of you have stuck around. Also, its amazing how supportive friends and the comic making acquaintances are. Regular and not so regular retweets and comments are the bits of caffeine that gives this comic a kick in the butt every week to keep going. There is this really cool thing that happens when you graduate from making a comic and marveling at it on your computer screen, to actually putting it out for the world to see. A completely different level of accomplishment, and even though I’m sure the work has its flaws, the support and encouragement and virtual high five-ing is really awesome.
That being said, I’m looking forward to Chapter 2 (more on that next week) and looking back on everything I’ve been able to accomplish so far. Seems like every week I learned something new about this whole comic process, and I’m sure there is so much more that I’m not aware of. Putting out a webcomic is hard work, and there is so much more than just making pages. I’d really like to know, what do you guys think of the comic so far? I’m open to any feedback on the story, art, design, pacing, website etc. I view this entire story as one giant work in progress, so I’d love to hear some thoughts. Feel free to post a comment or send me an email. Telegraphs and messenger pigeon notes are also acceptable.
Thanks for reading, oh and by the way. There is still a little epilogue update coming that will tie up one intentional loose end.
